Welcome to the world baby Brylee

Hello everyone.  I hope y'all are all well.  A lot has gone on over the past week.  Brylee was born on 6/13 at 10:06 AM 3lb 13oz 16.75inch.  After delivery she was taken straight to the NICU where she has been under close monitoring by doctors and nurses.  Early indications were that everything was pointing in the right direction.  Yesterday, we got thrown a curveball in a fastball count (for those who are not familiar with baseball… basically we were expecting 1 thing and found out another).  As a part of a routine sonogram, the doctors found 2 hemorrhages in Brylee's brain.  1 of them is not a concern to the doctors and they believe it will resolve itself in time.  The other hemorrhage however is a concern because of where it is and the potential severity.  At this point in time, the doctors are expecting that the problematic hemorrhage will cause development issues with Brylee's  motor skills on the left side of her body and create some learning issues we will have to confront in time.  There is an outside chance that the problematic hemorrhage will rectify itself and all of the stress and concern would be for naught.

As we walk through the fires and trials that this new chapter in life has brought us, we would ask that all of you pray earnestly in 1 accord as the Bible tells us there is tremendous power when believers come together to unleash the power of heaven in whatever the situation might be.  Please pray that the hemorrhage that the doctors are concerned with will not worsen with time, but instead begin to resolve itself.  Brylee's brain can reabsorb the blood and cause minimal issues long term for her (that is not what the doctors are expecting to happen but we believe in a God that more powerful than doctors and can do anything to accomplish his will).  Our family has experience the power of heaven with Mark's cancer, Maddox's hospital stint when he fell in a pool and everything was pointing to Maddox facing severe issues with his brain, and we know God has a plan in this (albeit we have no idea what that is at this point).

As always, we greatly appreciate the support from our friends and families that surround us in tough times and want to say thank you to everyone that has rallied around us in the middle of this.  I know everyone that is reading this is asking a lot of questions and I don’t know that we have answers to a lot of them, but I'm sure there is 1 question that is very common among all of you that are reading this: What can we do to help?  The answer is simple.  PRAY!!!!!!  Pray fervently, often, and of 1 accord.  Our family will need each of you when the time is right and we will reach out to you when that time comes.  For the here and now, we need each of you to pray and ask other believers you know to pray with us.  Our hope is that Brylee's situation reverberates throughout all of heaven because of all of the believers surrounding her and our family with prayer!  Stay tuned as there will more to come as we better understand how the situation will unfold.
