A Call to Arms
Yesterday I wrote about praying big prayers, and today's post is no exception to that. Every time we have asked y'all to pray for a specific thing the Lord has answered that specific request. We received Teagan's ultrasound back today and it appeared that some of the swelling had gone down. We are thrilled with that news however we also were told that the bleed in her brain appears worse than we originally thought as well as they are starting to see damage to the tissue around the affected area. She had decreased activity during the day today and was a lot more lethargic. They also discovered that she was battling some sort of an infection while inutero so they are adding additional antibiotics to ensure they are fully combating whatever it is. We are praying right now that there would be no more additional damage appear to her brain tissue as well as her brain would begin to respond more again. We know God has already answered big prayers in the last week and we believe he can do so again.
Thank you again for all that you are doing for our daughter and our family. While we are feeling very weak today we know that no matter what the Lord is in control and is going to carry us through this. I will update as often as I can in the upcoming weeks but due to the ebb and flow of life with a sick baby in the NICU I will not be able to update everyday. I will unlikely update again until after the weekend as we get the wonderful joy of celebrating my sisters wedding. We are looking forward to a time of joy and "ridiculous amounts of fun" with our family and close friends. Thank you each for everything you have been doing for our family.
